Zee MuZik Radio 929 joins the rest of the nation in prayer for Emanuel AME Church, its members, family and friends. We pray for the City of Charleston, South Carolina. When tragedy such as this strikes it is beyond our comprehension or understanding. So we must rely on our faith in God and continue to believe that He is still in control. We must keep an unwavering faith, because God tells us in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (New Living Translation):
You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
Then in 2 Peter 3: 8 – 10
But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment.
We must remember this could have happened anywhere. But thanks be to God, he let us live on to see another day and give us another chance to get it right with Him.
Not only continue to pray for Charleston and Emanuel AME Church but be in prayer for our nation and especially our children.
